Bear Oracion,

Bear was a beloved creature of habit whose paw, kisses, wagging tail, and famous cheese tax brought love and laughter to his family every day. Though their time together was far too short, Bear left behind a lifetime of cherished memories and will forever be their dearest Bear.

In Loving Memory of Bear

October 10, 2021 – August 3, 2026

When Dad and Mom brought Bear home on a snowy November day, they had no idea just how deeply he would change their family forever.

Bear had originally been called “Lucky” by his previous family, because he was the only puppy in his litter to survive. But when his new family saw him that first night, they knew the perfect name for him was Bear—and as he grew, his size and appearance proved just how fitting it was.

Bear was a true creature of habit, and his family came to cherish those familiar little routines that made each day with him special. Every morning brought his paw asking for attention, followed by a kiss on his big, balmy nose. He greeted his family with a wagging tail and a smile that could make any difficult day feel better.

He was always grateful for whatever was given to him—food, treats, or water—and, of course, there was always the matter of the cheese tax. If he heard a can being opened, it didn't matter which room he had been sleeping in; Bear would wake up and make his way straight to the kitchen.

His family will miss asking his big brothers if he was okay while they were away, waking up just to see him squatting in the backyard, and most of all, the simple joy of coming home to Bear and seeing how happy he was to see them.

Bear may have only been with his family for a few short years, but those years were filled with love, laughter, familiar routines, and memories that will last a lifetime.

It is difficult to let him go, especially because his family knew this day would eventually come—but never expected it to come so soon. They take comfort in knowing that Bear has now gone home to a place where he can run free forever..

A Message from his Family:

“We love you, our dearest Bear. You were cherished in this household while you were here, and you will continue to be cherished long after you are gone. We will miss you, Bear.”
